Killer Robots

Scientists are working to create "Autonomous Battlefield Robots". Another way to say that is "killer robots that don't take orders from humans". Fabulous.

In a move that will certainly come back to haunt us, scientests have created "a disembodied androgynouse robotic head" that mimics your facial expressions when you look at it. Make sure to watch the super-creepy video labeled "Watch footage of 'Jules' in action". My favorite quote is the floating robot head yelling "when can I destroy humanity?!". True story.

Apparently the creators of this robot killing machine watched too many episodes of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles", and thought having a robot assassin made to look like a 5-year old girl was a good idea. Thank you Tsukuba University.

One of the scariest robots built to date is the “Big Dog” courtesy of Boston Dynamics. This will surely be the platform of choice when the robots start mounting weapons on themselves. Enjoy this video in all of its creepy goodness.
