Computer Program Self-Discovers Laws of Physics

Only yesterday did a robot make it’s first scientific discovery, and I was wondering how fast these things would learn. It looks like my questions have been answered since a computer has now discovered the laws of physics on its own. Looks like we’re in for quite a ride, humans.

Artificial Intelligence Makes First Independent Discovery

For the first time in human history, a robot has discovered a scientific fact on its own that humans did not already know. From the article. “The robot, called Adam, is the first machine to have independently ‘discovered new scientific knowledge’.”
I wonder how often these discoveries will be made now…
